Tips for what to wear
When it comes to senior photos, one of the biggest factors that can make a huge impact in your photos is what you wear to your session. Below you will find my tips and recommendations to help you plan for your shoot.
I recommend that you have at least 3 different outfit choices for your session. Something dressy, something casual, and something comfortable. This gives you a variety of looks in your images.
For the guys:
- Renting a suit can add some serious style to your photo. This adds class and always looks fantastic. You can even skip the tie and just add the jacket and slacks or jeans.
-Something casual can be a flannel or plaid with a t-shirt under or a polo or henley shirt
- Something comfortable could be shorts or jeans and a t-shirt.
Don't forget the footwear that goes with the outfit
Solid colors and patterned shirts will look good. Try to avoid large graphics on t-shirts or hoodies as they can be distracting in the photo
For the Girls:
-Dresses are one of my favorite choices for a girl. Something that has some flow and show some movement to it. Some of the best photos I've seen have had a dress in them.
-A Sundress
-Rompers and jumpsuits are also trendy
- Jeans or shorts and a casual shirt
Solid colors and floral patterns will look great
Another thing to consider is hair, make-up, and lashes. Long lashes can look fantastic and draw you into the eyes for close ups.
Adding a sun hat and sunglasses
LOCATION
The next thing you'll need to decide on is a location setting (or 2) for your photos and the time of day you would like. For instance, if you want the sun setting on the beach, we would need to plan for that.
